Incus – IPv4 Issue

Following my first Incus tutorials, I kept ending up with instances that had no IPv4 address. After searching everywhere without success, I noticed that disabling my firewall finally gave me an IPv4 address. Disabling the firewall isn’t a viable long‑term solution, so I consulted the Firewall section of the Incus documentation and found the fix (which allows traffic on the bridge created by Incus):

Fenêtre de terminal
sudo ufw allow in on incusbr0
sudo ufw route allow in on incusbr0
sudo ufw route allow out on incusbr0

With these rules I can launch Incus instances that obtain IPv4 addresses while keeping my firewall active. Equivalent instructions are also available for firewalld.
